Hello, I'm Nine. I'm from Northern Ireland, via Scotland. I spent a few years living out of a rucksack and now I call Malaysia home.

I'm a freelancer. Looking for proofreading, editing or audio transcription services?

I write things, I make zines, and I'm a pet sitter. I co-run Biawak Gemok, a radical zine distro based in Kuala Lumpur.

I'm interested in queer & trans issues, sex work & harm reduction, (anti-)Orientalism & Islamophobia, dabbling in language learning, small fat animals, and just about every place on this planet.

I made this Random Brothel Exposé Generator for tabloid journalists. See also Nine's Law.

Here are a few interviews with me:
on writing and freelancing
on sex work activism
on living in transit
on media representations of marginalised identities
on zines and Biawak Gemok

If you want to contact me, my email address is nine at jinxremoving dot org. I write it like this in an attempt to avoid spam, which is pretty much a lost cause.

The portrait of me is by Kazimir Lee Iskander.
